The problem
Every type beat producer who publishes on YouTube knows this hidden cost: the issue is not music production, it is the packaging phase. Each upload needs a cover, a video template, and a correctly formatted export. Between Canva for graphics, After Effects for compositing, and an export tool, you can easily spend 10 to 15 minutes per video. Two uploads a day become almost an hour of packaging work that produces no music.
TypeBeatHouse brought us in to build the first version of CoverCraft: a native desktop app that replaces that tool-hopping with a three-step flow.
What we built
The app runs on Windows and macOS (Intel and Apple Silicon). We chose Electron because video encoding runs directly on the user's local machine: no upload to remote servers, no cloud rendering queue, no latency. Producers can work offline, the file starts and lands on the local disk.
The UI is built with Vue and Nuxt for view management and internal navigation. The architecture follows a simple principle: the template is configured once, then each new beat slots into that same shell. Fewer repeated decisions, less friction before each upload.
The main flow is three steps:
- Select or import a template (titles, layout, channel style).
- Load the cover image and beat audio file.
- Start the export. The video comes out YouTube-ready, no intermediate steps.
We also built the marketing site and the sales landing page, deployed on Vercel. The page structure follows a deliberate conversion path: problem, solution, demo, pricing, FAQ. The business model is a one-time license with no subscription: a choice we discussed with the client because it lowers the psychological barrier to purchase and aligns incentives with product quality over time.
Launch results
The launch batch offers 50 licenses at €19 before moving to the standard €49 price. Checkout is live on Lemon Squeezy.
The app is live, the site is online. If you are a producer who wants to stop spending time on packaging, it is the right place to start.
